Innovation and R&D

Our business culture

Innovation and R&D are at the very core of the group’s development and are essential to our corporate culture. It is thanks to the bold and committed attitude of our teams that we are constantly developing new competences and addressing new markets.
Having a broad range of talent gives us a broad perspective, which fosters creativity and helps us to find innovative solutions to key societal challenges.

Open to new ideas

We invest on an on-going basis in emerging fields of knowledge, by working with PhD students and participating in R&D schemes, with the financial support of EU funds and national agencies, like the French national research agency (ANR) and the French Agency for Environment and Energy (ADEME).
Research projects, development of new tools and participation in business networks…over the years, we have succeeding in perpetuating the spirit of innovation, and a taste for sharing ideas while managing to stay curious.

Proactive innovation policy

This policy is managed within the company by a 25-person interdisciplinary Innovation Management Committee. It currently has four cross-cutting focuses, which feed into the work of each of the group’s areas of expertise:

Climate Change - Soils and Sediment
Circular Economy - Data

Our investment in innovation and R&D enables us to continuously improve, be it through more effective methodologies or better quality solutions for clients.

Creative staff

Innovation drives our people while fostering their loyalty and helping them to grow. A system of innovation time credits allows them the freedom to explore and implement the ideas in which we believe.

An ideas lab, called the Hub, has been created by and for staff. This forum for discussion and innovation is open to our clients and partners and has a versatile format to encourage people to express themselves freely. The Hub organises regular events with different formats (conference-debates, discussion forums, educational walks, competitions, etc.) on cross-disciplinary topics.
